Our Mission
Dedicated to enhancing the workplace by focusing on mirth.
The efforts of the Mirthworks Institute are centered around leveraging research toward practical applications in the workplace. We draw from various fields including: organizational behavior, positive psychology, humor studies, play, performance psychology, and others. Our ongoing projects are aimed at making a difference in the lives of workers everywhere. We offer services to both organizations and individuals seeking to add a bit of fun, mirth, and humor to their work.
Our Director
Alan Whitehead founded the Mirthworks Institute in 2018 and currently serves as its Director. Dr Whitehead holds a PhD in Industrial & Organizational Psychology and an MBA. His research interests center on workplace fun, job satisfaction, and performance improvement.
